Paul Bryers is a novelist and filmmaker whose fiction and drama have won a number of awards from BAFTA, the English Arts Council and the New York Film Festival. Novels for children and young adults include Kobal, longlisted for Waterstone’s Book of the Year, Avatar, Abyss and Spooked: The Haunting of Kit Connolly, shortlisted for the Phoenix Award, while his series of historical fiction, written as Seth Hunter, includes the best-selling The Time of Terror and The Winds of Folly which was shortlisted for the US Indy Awards in 2017. He has worked as a reporter and director for the BBC and Channel Four in many parts of the world, and taught creative writing as a visiting lecturer at Bath Spa, Winchester and Southampton Universities.
