Cath Howe

Cath Howe is an author and teacher living in South West London. Her debut middle-grade novel Ella on the Outside won the North Somerset “Moving on” award 2019. Not My Fault was published in 2019. Cath’s books are about real kids messing up and inspired by her experiences in schools. How to be Me will be published in 2021.

Cath works with creative writers in schools and runs Speaking Festivals. Her drama book of monologues, duologues and performance poems, Let’s Perform! was published by Bloomsbury Education in 2018. She has also written educational readers about The Highwayman and sets of plays for the classroom, published by Pearson. She created a flagship resource, “Space Adventures” for The London Grid For Learning in 2018. Writer in Residence at Kingston University, she runs events for all ages, from 7 year olds to adults.

Her workshops include: The Real Friend, Playscript-writing, Creative Writing for both adults and children, How to Learn Poems by Heart and Effective Public Speaking. Cath has developed Pupil premium funded courses designed to build self-esteem in KS2 small-group teaching; in short, everything about being inspired and creative!
