Stepping Into Stories

CWISL are an integral part of the Stepping Into Stories Kids’ Lit Festival held in Herne Hill, South London, near the start of every year. This year, the festival took place from 30 Jan – 4 Feb 2024 and featured many leading lights from the world of children’s literature, including some brilliant CWISL authors and illustrators.

Hillingdon Libraries World Book Day Festival

We’re looking forward to hosting our third World Book Day Festival for Hillingdon Libraries in February 2025. This year’s programme on in-person and virtual events involved CWISL authors Margaret Bateson-Hill and Alice Hemming, alongside Children’s Laureate Joseph Coelho and award-winning author Jeffrey Boakye. If you’re a primary or secondary school within Hillingdon Borough and you’d like to join us, please contact your local Hillingdon Library.

 

CWIZZes

Test your knowledge of both contemporary and classic books! We run annual literary quizzes for schools in south and west London and in Surrey, aimed at pupils in Years 5-8.

There are three events in the autumn each year. Prizes include free author visits for schools and books for individuals.
